Julie Pope
Hi, I’m Julie.
Chicago-based actress, vocalist, mover, creative, etc.
I have survived (…and sometimes thrived) for over 16 years in show business; stage and screen. From chorus girl, to indie film & commercial actress, international jazz/country vocalist, to voice-over work, and live music…I’ve worn many hats—all in the service of storytelling.
I live for live performance and creation. The source is a genuine love and curiosity for humanity (no matter how messy), a passion for music, and a quest to understand the universe a little better.
Recent Highlights…
In January 2026, I moved back to my home, Chicago. I’m represented by ATB Talent, Moxie Talent (Kansas City). a current student at the Black Box Academy, and auditioning furiously. I’m thrilled. Everyday feels like my birthday.
Raffle (an indie comedy by Two Scoops Productions) will debut soon. I am the leading role. Stay tuned! Check out our previous film: Earlybird !
2025 Wrapped: Jane Fairfax/Emma U/S in Kate Hammill’s Emma at Kansas City Repertory Theatre, and Clue & Nunsense at Maples Repertory Theatre. Worked three days on a small set as an extra in John Travolta’s directorial debut. Worked on the indie short film; Trigger. Shot plenty of commercials, did a large voice-over for the EPA, and sang many gigs (including the October 12th Halftime Show for the KC Chiefs) with Kansas City’s award-winning cover band, Lost Wax.
